Tell me of liquitarianism

I don't know what's normal to think about liquefying everything, but I'll make this as normal as I can. My diet is simple (and so relaxing as to put me to sleep): nut milks, juices, herbal teas, water and vegetable broths, but another liquitarian diet consists of liquid vegetables, yoghurt and thick liquids and no eggs. No liquitarian drinks meat, you won't catch me drinking beef tea, which is good for invalids, but I'm vegetarian about it because I don't like the idea of killing animals. I've been drinking two cups in a row late at night of green tea & mint infusion and still at 1 o'clock in the morning I fell asleep. I feel there's no need for coffee cartels of those dishonest merchants in my kitchen, I have my own thinking: tea is more stimulant than coffee, herbal green tea would be the ideal but I have to drink a lot of it to stay awake. So tell me, not being the same as solids, consisting of things that have a different effect only in liquid form, about liquitarianism, I think it's sustainable. In my grocery shopping it was drinks only (not alcohol and no coffee), how do I survive? I eat a little until I stop going hungry.

    Liquid diets aren't sustainable. You wouldn't get enough calories on the diet you are on and you said it yourself that you still have to eat.

      Yes, but testing all these foods in the diet I can live well on it, I even went on a drinks-only shopping spree so I can be encouraged to drink what's in the fridge, and it saves cooking. I bet a liquitarian diet can feed starving people in Third World countries, think about how thirsty people get over there, just give them a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice and it will quench their thirst.

    Yes Hansberger, drinking all that stuff is good for you, you should be on this diet, I do it myself when I transitioned to quasi-vegetarian, then vegetarian, then vegan and finally liquitarian.

    I tried liquids all day when I was hungry, it's really simple, when I felt like having a hotdog I instead drank a V8 pineapple passion instead, and when I wanted a sandwich at the museum I drank apple & blackcurrant juice instead, so if I can do that with all my hunger there would be a sacrifice involved and I'll feel better for it. Like a normal diet I follow the above 5 food groups in the above post, only it's different. I'm getting fruits, vegetables, nuts, herbs and water in my diet, and let me remind you in the olden days people have attempted it, that's when I read of fruitarianism on the internet, as liquitarianism stems from that, even stricter is the diet of juicetarianism which is only drinking juices, I can't do that because of the burning of acid in my gut and up my throat, waterianism is the strictest of them all: drinking only water. But I have to emphasise that the body needs variety and can't survive on just juice or just water, and liquitarianism has variety, and breatharianism is even worse, it's eating nothing, but in reality you need to put plants and water in your body, as I can't stress this enough, and I can't stress enough that you need variety. With liquitarianism my doctor told me it was healthy. In a Third World country where food is scarce it's actually not a stupid idea to feed the masses a nice hot cup of chamomile, but where food is a demand, feed the public a liquid vegetable broth in paper cups.

      Diets are not a phase, they're lifelong commitments, if I can replace my hunger for a burger with the drinking of juice as I have done, i.e. when I'm hungry for food, drink a juice, then that's evidence I'm making progress.

      Yes, but I result in losing weight in the long run. Let's go by what you say and try a balanced diet and tell me if I'm not making greenhouse gas emissions when the food comes out.

        Malnourished people do lose weight, that doesn't mean it's healthy. I doubt if your greenhouse emissions will make much difference to the state of the planet.

    Please don't do this diet man. It sounds like a really bad idea. It will take a serious effort to get enough calories and avoid nutrient deficiencies. In addition to that it will prolly fuck up your digestion and intestines in one way or another. Even if it doesn't both your stomach, why do it? Its expensive and very restricting with no real unique benefit.

        Well just tea would leave you awfully malnourished. I fidgeted around online a little to see how you could make this work with being malnourished. To get enough calories you would need a bunch of smoothies with all sorts fruits and shit and you'd need a bunch of supplement powders and milk ect

          Finding out I'm getting sufficient vegetables, fruits and herbs in my diet I think, though you may not, that it's sustainable, but short of making smoothies I'll try making one with coconut milk added to it. Being coerced to eat something I choose not to, I don't like that my housemate forces me to eat.
