Stopped smoking weed for a week

Every time I tried to quit only to cop some more bud on the day I was supposed to quit it started feeling intrinsically disappointing. Now going on a week after stopping my appetites all fucked up. I go all day without so much as a morsel & don’t eat until real late if I’m not too tired to cook after work. Also every day that passes I feel more & more grossed out at the thought of a blunt to my lips🤷🏾‍♂️

I'm gonna get high and eat some peanut m&ms now. Thanks for the reminder.

Where do you live? USA? I've never heard of peanut butter m&ms but they sound amazing and I want some now

USA, baby! They're just highly addictive chocolate covered peanuts.

It typically takes a heavy smoker at least two weeks for the appetite to return to normal. It may take a little longer. Good for you for getting this far.

When i stopped smoking I was nauseas for a while and couldnt eat or sleep. I actually had some pretty bad withdrawals coming off of weed. I was surprised. It went away in a week tho.

Yeah, I was really fucked up by it for a couple of weeks. It surprised me too because everyone says that you can't get addicted but there I was, sweats, jitters, insomnia and nauseous. If that's not withdrawal then I don't know what is.

I have also reduced my smoking over the last week. I usually smoke a few joints a day but I've only smoked like 2-3 joints this week. The main difference for me is that I procrastinate less, if I decide to do something I'm more likely to do it immediately instead of getting high and putting it off all day or needing to bring a joint with me everywhere I go. Fair fucks to you, keep it up.

Thanks Bro means a lot! I can relate since I was the exact same way. I couldn’t even drive into standstill traffic without at least an 1/8 with 2 blunts rolled for the ride to ease the anxiety of troopin the bid of early morning or evening rush hour traffic which really sux where I’m from. & Of course dealing with my BM & customers who are usually a pain in the ass at my accounts was light work if I’m lifted. The 1 thing I tried different before this being my first full week sober as the clock just struck midnight is using a juicy fruit stick of gum to keep the kush fresh & smellin 🤤through the La loud pack can(tuna size can) that the trees came sealed in but of course starts drying once you peel the seal. Wish I thought of that sooner🤦🏽‍♂️. But Tbh I’m way more productive than I was every time I had to stop to grind some kush, dry some fronto & twist up in some organic raw paper before doin any if not everything. Just feels nice to know nothings draggin my feet through mud or has a significant hold over me anymore. You kno you’re fine when you can have moments where u find your raw paper or fronto leaf left over & not feel pressed to have to smoke 🌬💨 it all away. Besides I’m goin on 35 in 2 months & while my 4 yr old already is a split image of me he doesn’t have to reflect my old habits

If you had tobacco in your joints that's probably what you're withdrawing from rather than the weed. Try some nicotine replacement therapy or get yourself a Champax script from your doctor.

Weed is known to suppress dreams, so it's not surprising that you have some weird experiences while sleeping soon after stopping smoking. Sounds like you had sleep paralysis. I used to get it all the time, the best way to deal with it is just to close your eyes and dont try to move or get up. Eventually you'll either fall asleep again or wake up fully. If you panic and try to fight it your brain freaks out and starts making up false images like shadows or people watching you or whatever you happen to be scared of.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me Southweirdman, lander8 & normal adventure!! Withdrawal was a whole nother anxiety in it self that came from attempting to quit the 1st few days. But the bigger anxiety building was knowing it isn’t worth losing my job or it takin food outta my 4 yr old sons mouth for a quick fix 🌬💨. The truth of the matter is I knew I can do it since I previously already stopped from 2017-2019. When vaping took the market by storm it was a gateway drug right back to lighting up. Especially when I started dealin with this new chick that but of course smoked weed🌬💨. But stopped talkin too recently after realizing how insecure she was since we didn’t live close enough to each other which came with her randomly gettin jealous if she didn’t hear from me in a few days. On another note any of y’all start dreaming more than usual after stopping? In the 2 yrs I was sober I even remember 1 night when it felt like I could’ve sworn I was awake but felt like someone was suffocating me with there hands over my mouth in my 💤 & I couldn’t move until I stuck my tongue out & then the presence vanished!!! What was weirder is my BM was 💤 but what was even weirder is my son who was then 2yrs old was awake in his crib & appeared to know exactly what happened but couldn’t really talk for his age at the time. But his facial expression was stunned!! Guess that’s really the reason why I joined this platform. Do our kids see things which we can’t manifest with our own eyes more effectively than we can?

I followed most of what you wrote but I'm not clear about "What was weirder is my BM was 💤". In any case it's definitely possible that you experienced something profound that your son was aware of... It's definitely possible regardless of what anyone may say, but who can say better than you?

So what confuses me is that you refer to weed and having a blunt to your lips, but also said that "vaping... was a gateway drug right back to lighting up" Can you explain? Were you vaping or smoking joints?

Both but oddly enough weed felt far more authentic than the thc pens & I was pretty clumsy with em so they’d wind up breaking if I forgot I had em on my lap before standing up & the glass would break the min they hit the floor so I gave up vaping within 6 months since it wasn’t worth losing $20 or $30 bucks just to break it the next day. As for the episode with the entity or whatever it was suffocating me I’m sticking with my gut that somehow it crossed over that night possibly because of a recent death at the time in my BM’s family side now that I think about it🤔. Btw I abbreviate baby mother by just using BM instead.

Ah... BM as baby's Mother is not really a common acronym. Let me think overnight to see if I have anything to add. Thanks for answering.
