Just wondering how sexuality plays into education? Should Openly Gay Men and Women Be allowed or NOT be allowed to teach children in schools? Why do you agree with your position or choice?

Why not! They taught for decades while hiding their sexuality.
It's normal that people have their own sexual identities, and there is nothing new about homosexuality. It was clearly known about in biblical times.
I've found that kids do very well with adjusting to facts... its the non-facts they are taught that cause problems for them later in life.
Anyone who preaches their sexuality/marital status in the classroom is a bad teacher. Gay or straight. The classroom is a place for kids to learn, not be swayed by a teachers opinion.
Peoples sexuality should never infiltrate the workplace, gay or straight. And particularly when working with children.
My head teacher at school was a pervert who would not only have been sacked in this day and age, but would almost certainly found himself in court. I would rather have had teachers that were gay in charge of the school than someone who carried on the way he did.
I think the real question youre asking is whether homosexuality is right or wrong.
Anyways, i vote yes, of course they should teach. It will be good for children to know that there is a future as a gay human and theyre not damned to die out or not succeed in life.
As long as they're a good teacher their sexual orientation shouldn't matter.

As for the answer, yes. If you like cock in your arse, that has absolutely zero bearing on how passionate you are about chemistry, for example.
I don't care about their sexual preference just their qualifications.
However there are at least two comments on here that indicate the children know or should know what the teachers sexual preference is.

That's the problem I have with it. The children don't need to be taught about it!
Besides Sex Ed which was more health class and how the body functions. Who or what you have sex with I don't really recall a need for in a school environment, unless you are trying to indoctrinate or persuade them a certain way.
Most teachers that showed a public display of affection were disciplined no matter what their preference may be. I could not tell you, (except one) in HS what a teachers sexual preference was, that would include most of my college professors. They were/are professionals.
Ideally I think this should be a non-issue unless the teacher is like Mr. Garrison on South Park.
Sexuality doesnt matter when it comes to teaching. Unless you are a pedophile, that definitely matters.
Another matter is whether they promote their sexuality to an absurd degree, dont need awards given out to history teachers that spam that they are gay or whatever. Teachers should just teach their material.
