Should i join the illuminati

I found this website where you can actually join the illuminati. The thing about this though is that i'm too scared in case it turns out to be some kind of satanic organization. I see videos all praising "Baphomet" and i am definitely not joining in some murderous cult that claims to save people from poverty and helps them reach fame and fortune.

The other thing is that i also kinda wanna low-key join just to see what it would be like.

The original illuminati was a group formed in Bavaria in 1776, the members of which had beliefs that were way out there for their time. They were opposed to superstition, abuses of state power, religious influence over public life, and information being deliberately presented in such a way as to make understanding it difficult. They even thought that monarchies were a Bad Thing and should be done away with. Since this view was something that could get you locked up or even killed by your friendly local despot if he found out about that, they kept a low profile.

Over the centuries since then, a shit-ton of crackpots and scam artists have set up organisations which include the name in their title. The beliefs they promulgate have varied widely, and the only thing they really have in common is the title.

If you want to feel all edgy and have a cool membership card you can show off, go ahead and sign up (and pay your dues, of course). One thing is certain though: you're not going to gain some incredible secret cosmic wisdom or acquire psychic superpowers that will allow you to become a billionaire in five years, get lots of people to have sex with you or become the king of the world. The most you're likely to gain from the experience is that membership card, and maybe the experience of hanging out with some quite peculiar people. If you're lucky, the group might be organised enough in their efforts to fleece the suckers that they drip-feed you with a load of occult mumbo-jumbo that you almost certainly would be able to find for free somewhere else on the internet.

Its hard to deny hollywood and musicians show alot of this type of symbolism in their music and even in logos of movies people believe its Illuminati. They do the all seeing eye all the time its supposed to be edgy. Its even on the dollar bill. Have you noticed, and whats your opinion on this?

I think alot of those symbols they show are actually just freemasonry symbols which is quite popular. We have a lodge by my house men in suits go in every monday for meetings.

"It was some Time since that a Book fell into my Hands entituled “Proofs of a Conspiracy &c. by John Robison,”1 which gives a full Account of a Society of Freemasons, that distinguishes itself by the Name “of Illuminati,” whose Plan is to overturn all Government and all Religion, even natural; and who endeavour to eradicate every Idea of a Supreme Being, and distinguish Man from Beast by his Shape only."

-George Washington letter to G.W. Snyder 8/22/1798

Idk much about the Illuminati I think alot of it is speculative and hard to come by good info on it. But I always thought the letters George Washington wrote about it was interesting. The founding fathers were actually quite worried about the Illuminati.

    It’s not a real thing.

It existed in the 1700s and was far from satanic.
