Should i go or not

Okay so my friends wanna hang out and have a picnic. Mind you I havent seen any of them since highschool and they’re kinda judgmental. I just gained alot of weight especially since pandemic hit, and I’m thinking about canceling going altogether because of it. Is that wrong?

    I can see you've already decided not to go, but I just wanted to add - don't waste time on people who are shitty friends. You should feel better when you've hung out with your friends, not worse.

    If they're the kind of people who are judgemental about a friend putting on weight then they are probably dicks. Not worth your energy.

  • People are saying just go, but I think it's important to understand, since you say they are judgemental, that something bad might happen

    Not saying you should frantically worry about what could happen, but if you go, accept that you might leave early beforehand

    You already know that they were just acquaintances. If they were “real” friends, they wouldn't be judgmental.

    I get that you want to be your best physical self before you hook up with people again, but dont let that be your pitfall excuse to get out of being social either.

    I took a shot at the time issue but I'm sorry if that came across as a weight criticism.

    Weight issues can have a lot of reasons and some people can work out 2 hours a day and not lose it, and some people don't want to lose it.

    People from your HS want to say something, Who cares, at least you can, if you want do something about weight, ugly is a whole different story for them.

    I'd much rather hang out and have friends that will enjoy a steak or burger with me than someone looking for some kale to chew on.

    Weight's main issue for me would be the stress it puts on your heart and overall general health.

    You haven't seen them for a long time, you can probably go a lot longer without their judgemental asses being in your life. That being said who knows they may all be fat and UGLY by now.

    Lose the weight for your health but don't worry about what they may think.
    Love yourself first !

    People be like I can't work out cause I don't have time. Whats yo excuse now? No reason for anybody to be getting fat due to covid. You can build a home gym cheap as hell. Got a couple milk jugs? Fill with water bam you got weights. Same with ice cream buckets. Go walking do push uos squats etc etc. No reason to be fat

    • I want to exercise and get in a more defined shape. I work six days a week for 55 ish hours to afford my bills and goals

      Realistically I can only handle so much and be so successful. I'll get there someday though

        I work 58 hours a week thanks to ot. 6 days as well. I have plenty of time to excersize. A wise man once said the best way to get what you want is to just do it. If you come up with an excuse you'll never do it. I'm not learning Russian at least spoken while I head to and from work. Use the time you got to the best of your abilities. Slow moment at work? Do some jumping Jack's. Instead of eating a cookie eat an apple etc etc

          I always like the excuse I work too much.
          There's 168 hours in a week, even if you sleep a full 8 hours a day (most people don't), and work another 60 hours, what are you doing with the other 50 hours.

          I guess some people take it literally. " I eat, sleep, and work."
          If we work less than 56 hours a week, we should be worn out from sleeping or too much free time.

            Exactly!! It's ridiculous. Like MG routine is pretty basic but it works. I get up, I wash out my piercings that still need it, I eat breakfast and do my exercises then prepare my fruit for work, my lunch being made the night before I then either walk or bike to work. Sit down and enjoy some fruit while I read,

            Clock in, do the same on my breaks, eat fruit and read. Clock out head home, use the bathroom and after that I have 2.5 hours to do anything I want and still have 8 hours sleep. Thats working 10 hours and 2 hours travel time. 1 each way.

            I used to have the same schedule but 2 jobs. So 2 hours travel time, 10 hour shift and then a 5 hour shift. But it was straight to bed apon getting home to get 6 or so hours of sleep. The I work to much excuse is bullshit. Most barley work 40 at least in my area.

        I dont need a gym because jm not a fat sack of shit haha. I know how to get off my lazy ass and do something. Even just biking one hour a day will change your life. Walk up and down some stairs a few times. Do jumping Jack's. Fet a jump rope. Push-ups etc etc there's a million and one ways to get and stay in shape mate. They won't get you looking like the rock but you won't be a fat sack of potato chips.

        • Mf take youR rope and go right off a bridge with it. Youre one of those people who try to make everything seem like its so easy but its not. And im definitely trying to lose weight and I will be skinny again for sure. But dont try to make it seem like that stuff is easy for everyone. Not everybody can do it. And i never said you needed a gym, i said go be a gym teacher since you like to give wack ass motivationaL advice.

            Not needing a gym and not wanting to be in one are kinda the same no? But I'll give you that one. However you said you got fat during pandemic wich means you weren't before. Wich is highly suggestive you were one of the poor sapd quarantined. Litterly no reason to get fat with that much time. I wish I got paid quarantine time. I'd of spent so much time on my education. But that's ok I made a shit ton of money.
