Should i cover my ac in winter?

Should i put one of those foam air conditioner covers over mh ac during winter? My landlord hasn't given me mine yet. I'm not worried about felt temp but more of if the cols air coming in meets the warmth of my apartment will it damage anything? I don't want my books mor nintendo stuff harmed

    Depends on what AC unit it is. I'm not a tech but unless the fluid in your AC freezes then I dont think you have to worry about it. I think the covers are really just for keeping debris and crap out of the circulation.

    Could be wrong. Didnt get my associates degree in AC installation.

      Its an internal wall unit. The cover goes on inside the apartment which is what worries me. You can feel the wind through tge unit

        Oh. In that case, If your apartment people dont give you one I'm sure you can buy one on amazon. Or if you are cheap (like me) just cover it with a tarp+blanket.
