We have a rule in our house which is that noone puts their shoes on the sofa. But neither my step-mum nor my step-sister takes any notice of the rule, even though my step-mum made the rule in the first place. My sister even stands on the sofa to draw the curtains. It drives me completely crazy. is it normal to be so obsessed with something so stupid?
I envy (In a good way) families who don't wear shoes inside because they've beautiful carpets and white sofas.

In my truck I dont want to put my boots on the bed/uncomfortable couch I sleep in. But if i need to for convenience sake (waiting currently in a railyard for the last 5 hours) I just put by boots in a plastic bag and then just lay in bed. If I can finally go I can just hop back into the drivers seat and take off.
As for an actual house. Yeah you take your shoes off when you enter. That just makes more work to mop up.
why wear boots to drive at all?
whats wrong with comfortable sneakers or some such?
I drive a tanker truck. Steel toed boots are required... as well as the long pants and long sleeves. Like during the course if my job we dont do anything that would require steel toes but the places we frequent are factories and industrial plants so if they require it we need to wear it.
The same boots that I dont tend to take off without knowing I wont be wearing for a long time. or get my socks dirty on my floor that's covered in god knows what kind of chemical laced gravel and dirt.
Dont be a bad influencd next thing you know he will be wearing flipflops while driving his truck like a BETAA.
