Religion exists so people have reasons for things. They have closure for death, and have “a manual” for life and “can repent sins” because they’re disgusting people

That's an oversimplification. Religion doesn't claim only to know what comes after death, people turn to religion to seek answers to other things like "what's the purpose of life" and "how was the universe created". I won't say religion has the definitive answers to those questions, but it's pretty naive to say that religion exists solely to console terrible people.
Aside from which, a lot of participants in various religions are involved in service opportunities, whether through their church or a community effort. Such disgusting, shitty degenerates for sacrificing their time and talents to help ease the suffering of others. No wonder people hate religion!
