It really all depends on the significant other's behavior around alcohol.
Whether or not one worries about how much one's significant other drinks while away should depend on whether or not the significant other has a track record of getting overly intoxicated. Its also reasonable to worry if the significant other has had a DUI/DWI or even several, been kicked out of an establishment, and or has a habit of getting into bar room fights.
I think if the significant other has never had any problems and is only a moderate drinker then it's probably not necessarily to worry.
If someone has repeated problems of the type I've mentioned above, refuses to sober up, and or has ever cheated then the best course of action is to dump their sorry ass.
Having been married to an alcoholic..Yes, it's ok to be worried. But, keep in mind..Only so much you can do for the person. They're going to find a way to booze it up if they want to. Mine did, to the point of going from promoted to finance manager at her job, to...Fired 30 days later. I still, fully believe she was either drunk on the job, or, didn't show up and went drinking instead.
Don't let your sig. other's drinking effect your own life.
Then what are you worried about? If she's not drinking enough to endanger her health why would it be your business?
