I LOVE riding transit buses. I find it so much fun. I am also developing a transit bus fetish. I have researched it on the Internet and I know I am not the only one with this facination, so it makes me feel better lol.

What about the bus is it that is so fun? I find that driving is so much faster around where I live. And the PEOPLE I run into! OMG I just want to run away from them sometimes...like drunks and the guys that jerk off in front of me or masturbate on the poles!!! Seriously that is not fun when you are coming home after a hard day at work.
I know what you mean. I do miss driving, but I HATE HATE HATE rush hour!! And I also refuse to pay $20 per day for parking, and $10 in gas! I don't make a lot of money as it is, so why waste help my pay cheque on travelling? Also I find the weirdos on the bus absolutley hilarious! I look at it as free entertainment! ;)
I've always found riding other buses or cars cool because it's not your OWN. I think this is normal because I love to ride shuttles and things like that. Have fun with it!
LOL that's a new one. We should trade lives sometimes, I ride the transit every day to work and school and whatnot. XD
Funny.....I had a friend who was the exact same as you..though I think he was worse!! I mean, he took pictures of buses!! He memorized every bus manufacture number in case he rode on that particular one again, and if he did, he was so excited!! He's taken every single route in town, been to every major station in both ends of the city!! I never thought "small world" when I met him at a bus station! He talked about them ALL the time! So unless you're like that....I think you're normal.
I would call what you have a deep fascination or an obsession. I would not call it a fetish. Fetish usually suggests a sexual element to the desire.
Anyway, I am responding because I too have a deep fascination with a form of public transportation. But it is subway trains (and trains in general) as opposed to buses.
I think this has to do with the fact that my earliest memories in life are riding the NYC subways with my father. We had a falling away after mental illness took hold of him when I was a young teenager. I think my fascination with trains has something to do with me remembering the earliest happy times I had with my father (who has long since died.) Perhaps there is something more to your story as well?
OMG, I love subways! We don't have any around here though. As for the transit buses, I guess it reminds me of when I was a kid. We only had one car at the time, and my dad always took it to work. I can remember riding on the buses with my mom and my brother. It was so much fun! I guess I developed a facination then, and it continues now :) Thanks for sharing your story!
