My brother and me got in a fight over a pickle

We hit a new low. We don't have much food the last week of the month cause everyones paycheck runs out. It sounds stupid but he got mad that I ate the last pickle this morning and he had to drink the juice. Should I try to move out even though I can't afford it?

Well, when you can't afford food and are hungry, fights are inevitable. I know this because as a kid my parents couldn't afford to always feed my siblings and I. You said you can't afford to move, so instead of being homeless, perhaps you two can discuss what happened and come up with a strategy so you'll be less likely to run out and fight over it?

Anything related to siblings, and fighting, is perfectly normal. Especially under the described circumstances.

the exact same thing happened to me and my brother with a sandwich (in the end he ended up throwing it at me). If you and your brother have a tight relationship then you will probably laugh about this whole thing in a few years, like me and my bother do

"He had to drink the juice". Cutest argument ever!

Its normal. Everyone needs to try and be considerate of everyone else if there is very little food. Ration it fairly and make it work.

    Definitely dont move out.

Maybe you and your brother could agree on a rule that if there's only one left of something, neither of you will eat it without offering half to the other person?

Please try and have a reasonable conversation with your brother about this: you both need to be on the same side in the impoverished situation you're in and believe me, a brother is more important than a pickle, let alone pickle juice!
