My boyfriend has been acting weird ever since we did it for the first time

me and my boyfriend are both young and each others first love , we both lost our virginity to eachother and ever since then i just feel like we’ve lost our spark and we aren’t happy like we used to be and he dosent put any effort into the relationship, thoughtful things like flowers or compliments.what do i do?

Is It Normal?

  • Ah that’s normal it’s just shifted gears. Don’t do anything too rash, but maybe add some excitement by coming up with some new experiences you can enjoy together, where you can see more sides of each other emerge

  • It's perfectly normal, some men don't have any lust for a lady, but given this topic, I think it's a disgusting subject.

  • Unfortunately a lot of men lose interest once they have gotten what they want. If hes not that type then it could be hes worried about it, like that it wasnt up to his expectations or he worries it wasnt for you. The first time doesnt tend to be great, usually.

  • Then talk to him. It's not abnormal for people to be more romantic and put more effort into what's commonly known as the 'honeymoon stage', which typically begins when the relationship begins and lasts up to a year depending on the people. Often during it people will show a less genuine side of themselves to impress the other. Maybe the so-called 'honeymoon' phase has ended for him and he's not comfortable with the relationship and doesn't feel pressured to keep trying to impress you.

  • It’s a very rare occasion that young people stay together nowadays. A little advise from an old hag, be more selective on who you sleep with. And always use protection. I have 101 children and they’re always hungry.

  • How long were ya'll dating before this happened?

  • Kids talking about "losing the spark" smh. If you two really are young, then having "lost the spark" just means you two were horny, you did the deed and are no longer horny, and now you realize your attraction to each other was just horniness

  • You eventually will always come to this stage no matter who you are with. I feel a lot of young men and women believe that relationships are more like a disney movie but there's something called the "honey moon stage" which is very real. It doesnt matter if you were the hottest sex pistol to ever exist in history this honeymoon stage will never last forever. Whats happening is normal and will always happen no matter who you are with.

  • What about anything I have said made you think I'm sexist? No, I am not sexist.
