Meghan markle's black?

Seriously? What the fuck? She must be really desperate for victim points because judging by her appearance alone she's white as hell

She looks more white than black to me. A pretty nice olive-tone skin.

IDGAF! I don't like the royal family and firmly believe monarchies should not exist in the 21st century.

If she didn't tell nobody would know.

She's biracial. Her mother is black and her father is white. Meghan just has a light skin complexion compared to most mixed people.

Go look at Paris Jackson. The same principle applies to her as well. Only unlike Paris, it's hard to argue that Meghan didn't inherit African genes as her mom was the black one.

She's biracial. Half black half white. Her father is white and her mother is black.

    • Well then that just begs the question what does it mean to be considered black? If someone looks white and most people assume they ARE white when they see them, but they have a black parent, does that mean they get to claim victimhood by proxy? Because I have a hard time believing that Meghan Markle had to put up with people calling her the n-word growing up, or assuming she's poor because she's black (even though prior to marrying into royalty, no one would have any reason to believe she's black unless they knew her and her mother personally)

She's probably only black when it suits the situation or her need for victim points

Lol. I think you’ve had a little imbalance in the meds.

    • Am I in the minority here? She doesn't look pale enough in complexion to be mistaken for white to you?

        Why does it matter?

        • It doesn't really. I just remembered seeing some headline about how evil and racist the royal family supposedly is, and when I read the article it was all about how Meghan Markle's being racistly targeted for being "black". Personally, if I was black, I'd be really pissed off and offended that white-looking literal royalty is playing the race card for victim points

I think you’re confused about how racism works. But again, it literally doesn’t matter. Fuck the monarchy.

            • I know how racism works, and I think it's terrible. That's why I found it so gross and offensive that someone in one of the most privileged positions in the entire world felt the need to go on Oprah and bitch about how hard her life is because she's indiscernably black, even though there are people who face actual racial discrimination every day

True. Meghan Markle fans only have one card: racism. Even that card doesn't work so well because she isn't even black

She looks half black half white. She got a nose job to make her wide nose smaller making her appear more white

Rich people do have struggles too. Paparazzi, tabloid journalism, hit pieces. Sure it’s a different kind of struggle but it’s hard to quantify these things. Take Kurt Cobain or a plethora of other doomed celebrities ill equipped for the trappings of fame. I don’t think we can really judge others and how they handle things like racism based on material wealth, and if you are, that’s another thing: it’s classism. Meghan has black genes and that’s enough for it to be publicised that she’s black and that’s enough in turn for racism.

    • The difference is that when rich people have struggles, they fly on a private jet to America so they can do an interview with a billionaire and broadcast internationally how hard their lives are. When poor people have struggles, tough shit
