Mean urges!

im not a mean person but sometimes i have the meanest urges for example a freshman carrying so many books they are about to fall over, i kind of have an urge to just push him over. or when some annoying girl is wearing high heels to high school and she doesnt know how to wear them so she's wobbling i have the biggest urge to just trip them! or sometimes my friends are talking to me and i just want to like punch them or kick them...even though im not mad at them. obviously i never follow through on my urges but is normal to have them?

Yes it's normal. My counselor told me that it's because I have deep-seated anger and that's my mind's way of dealing with it. I joined an anger management class and feel a lot better and it doesn't happen as much.

  • Omg. I have these all the time. I think it's because I don't release my anger that much so I'm always having some random semi violent thought.. Sometimes I do take it out on my closest friends tho lol. They understand

that's nothing compared to some thoughts/urges i've had before. but i've been dealing with my emotions better recently. you're normal to me.

I had the urge to poison my baby brother for years. But then he fell in a sinkhole and that was the end of him anyway so no harm no foul I guess.

You have an extremely low self esteem...but lots do so I guess it's semi-normal to be pathetic.

I'm the same way! I envision doing something like this in my head all the time! Daily! I think it's funny! Lol I think it's cuz I work customer service and have been for 10 years. You have to be able to deal with wanting to punch annoying ppl out. That's how I stay nice and calm, envisioning the demise of the disliked.

^what he said. Seems like you have held in your anger and it's itching to get out. Try boxing or realeasing your anger constructively.
