Just wondering if anyone else experienced this

So this might sound weird, but I’ve googled everything and don’t understand what this was!!

When I was a little kid I remember if I was really sleepy or sick that this weird feeling would happen, but only as a child. It was like the walls looked all fuzzy and my body felt tingly but it also felt nice and was comforting?? It’s so hard to explain it to anyone and it happened quite a bit until I was about 12 and it stopped. I think if it happened now I would be super scared but at the time I thought it was normal. I can only describe it as me and everything around me feeling like TV static lmao but also like a lucid dream?

This brings back an odd, first, grade memory. I remember a few of my classmates mentioning that when they were babies, their parents would put NyQuil in their bottled milk to quiet them down and put them to sleep. At the time, I thought nothing of it since I was a little kid. But thinking back on it now, it's kind of creepy.

I've heard people talk about rubbing a little whiskey on the baby's gums for teething.

I want to say that Casey Anthony used to give her daughter, Caylee, Xanax, which is insane. I'm sure she still maintains her innocence, but I think she did it.

I never heard about giving babies whiskey. That's crazy. Drugs shouldn't be near kids at all.

Sounds like the stage between sleep and awake, when you're just about to fall into deep asleep but you're aware of it. Like the stage that sleep paralysis happens in. I've had this sensation a few times, and i've had sleep paralysis which for me caused everything to look fuzzy plus I saw hallucinations and it is indeed scary.

You were right at the point where you can get out of body but didn’t quite make it out.

Before it happens you often have a buzzing, tingling or shaking feeling. Pressure in your head and odd noises can also occur before exiting.

I’ve done it a dozen times, if anyone disbelieves it then learn to do it yourself. Ways to do so are very well documented.

You’ll never see the world the same again. It can be quite unnerving on the other side so buckle up kids.

Ive had it and usually in bed...if i stare at the walls i can do it.
I think of it as a disconnect from reality.

well i've had this sensation since i was a kid, except I would often also lose control of my body and stumble over, as my vision kinda blurred? I thought there was something wrong with me but its cool to know someone else felt the same thing.
