Is this too much food for a day for a woman?

Im trying to lose weight. Tell me if this sounds too much

*Caesar salad with grilled chicken
*Two oreo cookies
*Large bowl of honey nut cheerios with almond milk

It was a medium Caesar salad so maybe that's like 800 calories then cookies, 300, cheerios 500

1600 cal? I think i went over by a lot. Im aiming for under 1200

It should make you lose weight. I would jog or walk everyday too to speed it up. You can also try intermittent fasting its very effective.

Up the greens, change the salad dressing and find a new cereal. You are consuming a lot of hidden sugar.

That would be a start. But you probably should add some veggies.

That doesn't sound like enough unless you're a midget. 1200 sounds dangerously low. If you think you're fat, the best thing to to is focus on changing your body composition rather than trying to lose weight in general. Im a male approximately 175lbs and I've starting eating a lot moremeat lately and reducing my carbs and over the last 2-3 weeks I've lost a lot of fat without being hungry or lacking energy. Also 2 oreo cookies is only 106 calories and a bowl of cereal is more like 300.

Drastically cutting calories is very dangerous, even being 100 calories below your required amount causes your brain to function less efficiently and also has a bad effect on your immune system.

Can you tell us how much you weigh and if you exercise?

You're not overweight, if you feel like you could lose a few lbs fair enough but you shouldn't starve yourself, you can do permanent damage to your body that way. Just make minor adjustments like eat slightly less carbs and get a bit more exercise. If you reduce your calories from say 2000 to 1900 and maybe walk a mile each day and burn another 100 that's a 10% reduction already. After a few weeks you would stabilize at around 134lbs without any damage to your health.

I'm not expert but I'm pretty certain your current height and weight matter.

Well, at least you've got some fiber in there.
