Is this normal to happen in a dream?

Once I dreamed that I was in a house with colorful bathrooms. Then, I came upon a tiny washer and dryer and started to realize I was dreaming. There were a bunch of men working on that part of the house. I told one that I am dreaming and he seemed like he didn't believe me. Then I told another person I am dreaming and he seemed very interested.

So I was looking at my hand in waking life, I noticed there is hair growing out of my palm. Is that normal? What would caused it?

I do not masturbate. I tried it once to see what it was like but I found out how gay it was so i never did it again.

As leggs has said, when we become aware that we're dreaming in the middle of a dream, that's called lucid dreaming.

Lots of people work for years on being able to do what came naturally for you and never succeed. There's lots of information on lucid dreaming on the internet, and you might want to look into it. Being able to direct and control your own dreams can apparently be a lot of fun.

I'm 24 and I had my first lucid dream when I was 9. I didn't even know at that age that you could know that you're dreaming. I don't know how to lucid dream. It just randomly happens for me. But when it does happen, it seems to have the opposite effect from most lucid dreamers, as in I feel like my lucid dreams are more out of control than my non-lucid ones. And sometimes the dreams that are lucid are my most normal ones at first until I realize I'm dreaming. After I'm dreaming is when the weird stuff happens.

    That is called lucid dreaming.
I do not know how one gets to that state.

In dreams though, about anything is normal.

Look at your hand, Dreams don't have that level of detail so your hand won't have the correct number of fingers.

That is true, however, within any given dream everything seems normal somehow.

Dream "normal" and waking life "normal" are different of course.

It takes practice. If it turns into something you do regularly, like look at your hand whenever something seems off, it will carry over into the dream. It's very obvious when you have 3 or 16 fingers on your hand even in a dream that it isn't right.

My lucid dreams are usually relatively norm at first then turn strange after I notice that I am dreaming. But the other night, I tried looking at my hand while I knew that I was dreaming and I did have 7 fingers. I told a man who was standing at a locker that I am dreaming and he said in a sarcastic voice "Is that so?!"

The hand trick is really good. It's strange but if you get in the habit of looking at your hand in anxious situations it shows up in the dream automatically. My problem is I have really bad insomnia and have a hard time staying asleep too long after I realize Im dreaming. It's fun to fuck with though for the moments of living in a dream.
