Is it normal to wear a yukata or kimono in a western country?

I currently live in Europe and I'm interested in buying a Yukata or Kimono since they seem really comfortable and I like the way they look.

I'm also really self-conscious, but would still like to wear them regularly on a daily basis.

    I saw a western white guy wear a saudi arabian white thobe and it didnt look normal at all, and this was in Dubai!
    Yet i barely notice when Arab men wear them, its perfectly normal no matter where i see them.
    I say Dont do it.

    Just depends on your comfort level with being different, and if you're OK getting stares. I also occasionally wear some unusual things in public. I'm a straight, married male, but I occasionally wear multiple toe rings in public.

    I know it's unusual, and I get some weird looks sometimes, but I figure it's harmless enough, and if they're offended of upset by it, they need to chill out and get a life, and stop being so judgmental.
