Is it normal to wash one's hands with cold water?

I wash my hands with cold water. Apparently, people wash their hands with warm water. In my opinion, warm water hurts.

Fuck yea! Cold for the win! I remember when I was a fish washer one time the hot wasn't working so the sink was cold as ice, I had to do all the washing cause 20 minutes in everyone was like owwie it hurts. So I was like move aside and oooh yea quietly moans haha

It's normal and I prefer it too. I've not heard of the studies of the person above, but it makes sense. Warm water removes grease etc but melting the fat compounds. To make the water hot enough to kill germs you'd be scalding your skin.

Scientists have investigated and found that, as long as you use soap, it doesn't matter if you use cold, warm or hot water to wash your hands. They all are just as good at removing bacteria from skin.
