Is it normal to use long words when stressed?

When I get nervous or anxious, I'll default to using very long and complex words from the furthest reaches of my vocabulary. Normally, I'll only rarely use these words but when stressed I use them whenever possible. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

Antidisestablishmentarianism! I am so angry! Grrr...

I'm sorry, but this is absolutely hilarious... I can almost imagine you being mildly annoyed and turning into a professor in linguistics and everyone in the room is "WTF is he doing?" XD

I will say "not normal" for now. But I'm really interested in the words you're talking about! Which ones have you used?

    • Rambunctious, verdant, inhibit, words like that. Also I'll use a lot of figurative language - similies, metaphors, etc -, excentuate my accent (which is British, specifically Southern/midlands English), and sometimes narrate things - either in my head or out loud - and often in the third person.

Not normal. Most people use four letter words.

Keep in mind that most people are dumb asses and are not impressed with someone else's intelligence.

It is so bad that if someone IS smart or uses big words, they are looked down upon.

I myself think it is great that some people have a better vocabulary than normal but the average person is a dip shit.
AND people wonder why marijuana isn't legal in all 50 states. Yeah, something to make people DUMBER.
