Is it normal to take baths but not showers?
I prefer baths but my sister thinks it's gross because "I'm sitting in my own dirt." But I do feel clean afterwards and I don't stink.

You're not "sitting in your own dirt", assuming you apply a liberal amount of soap in the water, you're cleaning yourself, then again my definition of taking a bath can differ from yours, I don't just sit there for an hour, then get out, I typically scrub myself for a small while.
All your fecal matter, dead skin cells, body oils, dirt, mucous, skin bugs, parasites, and other bad thing get right back on your skin as you stand up out of the bath water. In the shower it all just runs down the drain.
You're normal in that you're not alone because plenty of people share your philosophy on this. However I'm on your sister's side of the argument for this...
Plus if you pee in the bath you're going to stink of pee but if you pee in the shower it goes straight down the drain :P
Take a bath one night and a shower the next. I LOVE baths more than anything, but you are sitting in your own hair grease and skin follicles so yeah, it's kinda gross if you really think about it. Plus, how do you wash your hair? Dunking it back into the soapy bath water while trying to rinse just keeps the soap and dirt in and your hair will look greasy. So wash your hair in the shower one night, and put it up in a bun for a bath the next. :)
Girls dont like gross things like farts and poop. So the idea of sitting in her own mess is nasty to her.
