Is it normal to start shivering after drinking?

I'm a 18 year old female, and I don't drink, so last night was a first for me. A friend of mine was throwing a party and we ended up playing a few rounds beer pong and flip cup. At the end of the night I had a bit to drink, but I wasn't anything more than tipsy. I tried to fall asleep under a blanket but I couldn't stop shivering. Eventually it stopped, but it took five minuets maybe more. I was little cold but not enuf to shiver. Is this normal? And why did this happen?

yea its very normal, alcohol thins your blood so when your just starting to feel tipsy you feel a little cold or tired, but once your drunk your nerves and motor skills are gone and you cant feel shit.

This is normal. Alcohol slows down your system. It makes you feel warmer while actually getting colder. Your body tries to actually heat you up with shivering to restore balance. Try looking up the science.
