Is it normal to smile at both sad and scary scenes in movies?

But it doesn't actually mean I feel happy about it. I often smile automatically also when either Im scared or kinda sad, or frustrated (like in an annoyed way) for that sake. And physically I can look really excited in those cases. I happened to post this on first April, but it was NOT an Aprils joke.
