Is it normal to receive a check with a typo

i received a check from my last employer that has a typo on my last name , will i be able to withdraw it or deposit it into an account ? or i have to tell the emmployer , is there any way to correct !

    I would simply try to deposit it in person without mentioning the typo. Bank tellers realize this sometimes happens. If it is a problem and they need a new check, they will let you know. They can also easily look up past deposits and see that you have had checks from that source before. They shouldnt give you a hard time.
