Is it normal to only want to be with people as messed up as me?

I don't feel comfortable around "normal" people. I feel like they look down on me and don't care because I have a lot of mental problems. I only feel like I can trust other people who are messed up like me.

I see where you’re coming from but it’s never good to assume things and call them “normal people” you never know what somebody is going through. Honestly there’s no such thing. Every story is different, in the end we all have problems, so we can’t act like others lead a “normal” life.
I’d suggest you try to connect with other people. Not just people like you.

You could go to prison for that.

It is normal psychosocial behaviour. Nothing to be concerned about!

Well, I'm sure you know the old saying, "birds of a feather flock together".

I'm creeped out by normal people. I consider myself eccentric. :)
