Is it normal to not remember a sentence and forgot what you read?

The title says it all. Just wondered if it is normal to read a sentence and forget what you just read. Sometimes I'll have to read it 3 or 4 times and still I am a little confused about what I read.

This normally happens when I'm trying to learn something new and trying to learn a new concept.

Am I just stupid or something else wrong with me?

      I haven't been formally diagnosed, but I'm relatively sure I have ADD/ADHD myself.
