Is it normal to never be hungry?

I'm a vegan, and I am never hungry. I'm 19. If I'm busy, I'll forget to eat, and I sometimes set my alarm to go off at mealtimes so I do remember. My mom thinks I'm anorexic. I'm not. I would love to gain weight, because I'm under 100lbs and I think I'm too thin, but I just don't have the time or energy. When I do eat, I get full on about a cup of food, or even just a glass of juice. Is it normal? I think it's important to note that I'm not on any medications so this is not a side-effect of anything.

Hunger (typically) is not your body saying it needs nutrients or energy. It's simply your stomach complaining that it's empty. Also, over time your stomach can shrink if you don't eat much. I've dealt with a complete loss of appetite when dealing with depression (the true clinical variety, not situational). Both the thought and act of eating was nauseating, and I only ate because of looking at the clock and realizing I haven't eaten in a long time. If that's not what you're going through I have no idea...

    1. make sure to take a vitamin b12 supplement. seriously.
    2. eat grains and vegetables. grains and vegetables are good for people with appetite loss.
    3. ask your parents what they think you should do about your appetite loss.
    4. call the doctor.

Your stomach has probably just shrunk. Feeling hungry is a mental thing, not coming from your stomach so you'll have to train yourself to eat at certain times each day. start with three small meals a day and see where that leads you

Only time I've completely lost my appetite is during pregnancy. No morning sickness, just never hungry. But yeah, you probably need some kind of treatment for this. See a doctor. Or just make yourself eat. You will stretch your stomach out and make yourself hungry more. I don't think any normal adult should be under 100 lbs.

if you're getting the nutrients your body needs (and vegans or veggies tend to eat healthier, and more vitamin-rich food), it won't get hungry again. i'll have trail mix and an avocado for lunch and be full for HOURS, and these chubby ladies upstairs can't figure out why their nonfat sugar free chai lattes and diet cookies don't fill them up and they're constantly hungry, where i'm skinny and eat what they call "soooo fatty foods!!" but i got all the nutrients i needed, so my body says, "thanks, call ya when I need somethin"

I'm vegan too! I am sometimes not hungry
at all or don't eat especially if I'm really busy. Like on long class days I'm lucky if I have juice or coffee for dinner sometimes it happens that I don't eat but really it isn't a big deal. If you don't make any time to eat that's bad you should def try to eat a little more if you can but do what's comfortable for you. Maybe if you are a new vegan you don't know about all the choices that are out there.
