Is it normal to miss a house you've not even lived in?

I moved my friend into a house 9 months ago, this house was unique. decorated with artefacts all over the world, a mismatch in furniture that just made it endearing. Not too mention all of the memories we made in a short 9 months. Anyways, he's just moved out of that house and now i feel that a huge part of my life has just been taken away from me? why is this? it was never my house? and i feel resentment towards the new place he has just moved into. why do i feel like this?

I ever feel like you too. The difference is : I never been in/ see (lively) the thing that i miss. It's the first time i heard about new york. I feel that's the place i must live in. I'll never evolve in this country. I'm not supposed to be here. I must be there! soon or later. So, i think it's normal
