Is it normal to make people like you?

As most of my posts are self-centred I'll try not to talk so much about myself. Posh people make other people posh like them, vegans try and fail to make people vegan like them, and I succeeded in making one person liquitarian like me, but she's got her own version of it: soupatarian, that's my mother and she mainly drinks soups and pushes her diet on me by cooking nothing but vegetable soup for me (she's obsessed with soup), I partially disagreed with her invention because I don't like being coerced to eat anything, I prefer it if she gave me a rosehip-hibiscus tisane, just soup is boring! But people think everyone has to act like them, or believe what they believe, or think like them, it's human nature, humans naturally want to be alike (a dog doesn't, your dog might be the weirdest dog you've ever seen, every dog is an individual). But there you are, my mother is successfully making me simple like her, her soups are very much without ostentation and are very unpretentious, that means they're simple, and she wants me to have this simplicity like her, it's ridiculous, why does a man have to be simple like a woman? It's her job to cook me my favourite liquids not push her beliefs on me. But I'm not taking it to heart, if you have to make people like you, you must be a lonely person, furthermore skeptics don't want your skepticism, they want you to be skeptical like them, pushing their thoughts on you, and their beliefs on you, my brother Ashley did this to me when I decided I was a weirdo and therefore very different, this frustrated him, he felt lonely because me and him were nothing alike so he made me think skeptical like him, it worked and it felt more comfortable than being different, people are scared of people who are different to them, it's their way or the highway. My family are all the people I know who push their beliefs, thoughts, and stereotypes on other people, as if everyone else cares what they believe in, I would probably want people to be a relativist like me, dress like me, or be busy avoiding laziness like me, is that normal?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!
