Is it normal to love and to have made love to someone at thirteen ?

When i was thirteen i fell in love for the first time , and i mean properly in love , we were inseparable . I was due to have an operation on my back that may have left me paralysed or even killed me. So we talked about doing it. We were lying in bed naked the day before and he asked me that question ,"are you ready" moving on top of me and i replied " i don't want to die a virgin" , and that was it . i am not writing this because i wanna tell everyone how i lost my virginity its just that boy is now my husband and we have a child on the way . I guess what i really mean is , if it is true love and its done for genuine reasons then , can it be normal? even at such a young age ?
