Is it normal to get chills when gaming competitively?

(Something I forgot to add: I don't usually play competitive games online, I can count the number of times I've done this on one hand)

I've always had this strange feeling whenever I would play games online against real people. The first time I noticed it was when I was playing Dualyst about 3 or so years ago. I played solely against computers for the longest time before I started to get bored and played my first online match. As soon as it started I felt a chill come over me that wouldn't go away. I won, but I was so disturbed by that feeling that I didn't play another match for a couple of weeks when I did, the same feeling came back, and I eventually quit the game all together.

Skip forward to now, through some unlikely circumstances I've met some people who own Pokemon Sword and Shield, like me. I decided to challenge one of them to a match (at this point I had completely forgotten about my Dualyst experience) as soon as the (local) match started that old feeling came back with a *VENGEANCE* manifesting as a full-on uncontrollable shiver, it even affected my voice! It took all my willpower to keep my voice and body steady, play and avoid freaking them out. It's really disturbing to me how strongly this psychologically based (I'm assuming) feeling is affecting me physically. Has anyone else had this feeling, or even know what it might be?

(PS: After posting I remembered that I've had this feeling another time before, when I played Warframe PvP against my friends in highschool)

There's a game I used to play and it actually have me goosebumps and chills. I think it was on X-box original or PS2, but it's called "the ties that bind". Something about it, idk.

I don't know, but maybe you're overwhelmed by the rush you get from competing with others? I get very excited when I play Smash Bros or Pokemon against someone and start talking loudly and being overly hyper. I'm trying to tone it down. I'm 31, so it probably doesn't look good. XD
