Is it normal to feel this way?

Is it normal for a morbidly obese person who is approximately one hundred pounds overweight to watch a video of an autopsy of another morbidly obese person of the same approximate size, and not really feel scared into submission? Is it normal for such a person to not feel especially afraid, or inspired to lose weight by means of exercise, and healthy diet?

Maybe you just don't see yourself that way. Kind of like how smokers know that it could kill them but you never really, deep down, think that it's going to happen to you.

Obviously if you're morbidly obese then you should lose the weight, but you won't actually do it until you really decide that you want to.

Graphic blood and slaughter films don't really matter. The obese viewer may be evaluating the operation more from the surgeon's perspective.

Might be helpful if it helps to get you to focus on losing weight. Definitely get help, set a goal, and speak with a doctor, good luck and stay focused!
