I used to keep them in a tin in my desk in elementary school and I liked touching them and rolling them between my fingers. Kind of like a fidget thing?
While in school, yeah. Crap's boring. I never played with the shavings, though. What I used to do was, uhh... well, I stabbed my erasers repeatedly with sharp pencils, boring out holes depending on how big the eraser was.
When I say that out loud, it suddenly sounds super creepy. I assure you, I wasn't sitting there stabbing the erasers like I was holding a knife, I was more just gently wiggling the pencil into the hole and spinning it, almost like whittling.
Okay, nevermind, that doesn't sound any better.
