Is it normal to believe in “black cat” superstition?

So I have a few friends I talk to and they legitimately told me I guess they maybe I guess have some sort of “Fear” for Black Cats? I guess they believe in some old age superstition that black cats are “an evil creature” that represents bad luck? Is that normal to have superstitious beliefs? They also say that Friday the 13th represents bad luck too?

Same here! I have a black cat who is definitely a token of good luck! Same with my black cat before him!

Funnily enough countries like Japan see black cats as a symbol of good luck.

I’m British and was taught that a black cat crossing my path was good luck, as a child whenever I saw a black cat I would try to coax him/her over.

I hate superstition with a passion. I pronounce it 'stupidstition' because it is stupid. As Stevie Wonder said 'Superstition ain't the way'.
