Is it normal to be scared of any ball larger then a tennis ball?

I hate sport, so when I was is school I got hit by balls a lot. I am now irrationally afraid of any balls larger then tennis balls. Help.

Is It Normal?

  • You are completely normal. Still have the ducking reflex when a ball is thrown and I lost track of it.

  • Generally a skippy ball is less dangerous than a tennisball. I'd be more afraid of a random tennisball heading towards me than a basketball or smth

  • a well hit golf ball would do way more damage than a thrown basketball

  • I've never liked balls being thrown at me, and didn't end up playing softball because of it, despite being able to hit a ball with a bat well. I didn't like having to catch the ball with my hands. I played basketball for a year (just so my very small school could have their team, as they needed an additional person) and the only thing I did well was defense. 🤣

  • I remember playing dodgeball in middle school and id like to dodge the ball like the matrix because the movie just came out. And I did the back bend really fast and slipped and hit the back of my head so hard on the gym floor. Everytime I hear the word dodgeball I remember jt.

  • Kind of sad. You need desensitization training.
