Is it normal to be infatuated with people with mental problems?

its not like i would ever date one, but like bi-polar or schizophrenia,or parkinsons.or people who love pain. something really interest me, I wanna meet people and study them. hang around them. ask questions, watch and see why they do what they do.Although once I found this guy with a problem (i think it was he had extra energy and blows up at people, or blows up in general). very attractive,he was cute and I was so intrigue. but then I just didn't have time to be with them more cause they just disappeared.
I have a bad feeling if I go into the field of psychiatrist, I would want to study crazy people.and what if I meet someone like the joker and become a harley quinn! lol jk jk. but seriously is this normal to have such a strong infatuation.

There's nothing wrong with dating someone with a mental illness, especially if they're working on treating it. I would just be careful about fetishizing their illness, and not respecting them as a person... most people probably wouldn't appreciate that.

I agree that people with mental illnesses are fascinating. I love to read articles online about mentally ill people. Especially if they are artists, since I am an aspiring artist myself. I myself have several mental illnesses - being diagnosed is what caused me to become interested in other mentally ill people.
