Is it normal to be ashamed of my pain?

I've had muscle pain so bad to the point I can't walk since February. I feel my leg muscles stretch almost every time I walk or press the gas pedal. My mom thinks it's because I've never done sports or regularly stretched. I'm in horrible pain everyday and the cortisone shot I had Tuesday aggravated it. The outcome would be if the cortisone shot makes the pain go away, then it's a labral issue. But if it doesn't work it just means it's very tight muscles and I'll be on Physical Therapy for 6 months to a year. (My muscle issue developed shin splints and bursa sacs and the muscle inflammatory pills didn't work.) We went to the doctor and he said it might be growth pain; so embarrassing. I feel so weak.

I'm sorry you're in pain, that sounds awful :( don't punish yourself for hurting though. You should feel just as ashamed for experiencing a headache as you should feel for this. I hope things improve for you
