Is it normal that this happens when i lie down?

When I lie down, especially when it's time to go to bed, my heart starts beating fast. I also start breathing hard and have to catch my breath. I guess this lasts for about 30 seconds.

I feel normal prior to lying down though.

It may be what paramore says, but may also be a health problem, and heart and respiratory issues can be pretty serious. Some people have irregularities in blood pressure when they change their position. In my case, my pressure drops and I can get temporary blindness, dizziness and vertigo. Does not seem to be serious in my case, but other people suffer from more serious complications.

    • I'm 15, and this has been going on for about 3 years. It's regular fast, I guess? Like if I had just ran a short distance. It also doesn't happen every time.

Could just be that as you lay down and relax you notice your heart beat more ..
Also could be your positioning, laying on your left side is better for heart function
