Is it normal that seeing cats make me feel very violent?

Seeing let alone encountering them makes me feel extremely violent, sometimes I have thoughts about kicking, punching or strangling one.

I have a long complicated history of hating them but I won't list them here. You might think I'm trolling but I'm not I'm just here to say how I feel about cats.

My hate and violence make me want to stay away from them, I don't trust them. I don't trust them at all.

Yesterday my friends tried to tease me with a bunch of cat photos but I felt violent that I wanted to punch my monitor.

I hated them then and I still hate them now.

What if they go attacking me?

In short: Cats are one of the few pets that make me feel violent towards, I can't help being violent towards them.

Before any of you tell me to get some help, I'm already planning to seek help about it.

No, the normal response to encountering a feline creature of the Universe is for one to ask one's self, "what can I do to honor, and serve this majestic beast that is worthy of worship"?

    • I'm very intrigued by when you say "feline creature of the universe", I would like to know what that entails.

All cats big, and small are creatures of the Universe, we must honor them, and do their bidding.

I dunno, it depends on the cat, and what he, or she wants at the time. Not all cats are the same, all cats are individuals.

            • These days whenever I do see a cat, I give them a blank expression and I quickly look away.

If you’re feeling such extreme reactions to a commonplace animal I think you should talk to a professional, it’s not normal.

    • Well I've already planned to go see one, I'm just a bit paranoid that they'll judge me for it.

They will have heard much worse and you’re acknowledging the problem and taking active steps to change it. I’m glad you’re doing the right thing and wish you well with it.

Are you worried the cats will judge you?

        • No I'm worried about what the therapist will say to me.

As of now I'm staying away from cats for a while.

Cats are a feminine symbol and are selective with their attention.

Question answered, a heap more are now in its place.

Just not liking cats would be normal, but hating them and wanting to permanently harm them is a different cup of brew. It's good that you're seeking help. Cats can be a handful and I'm sure you have your reasons. I keep my fingers crossed that your therapist takes you seriously and doesn't judge you too hastily.

    • My reasoning for hating them in the first place was one time I was always mocked for not having one, overtime when I grew up I started feeling violent and hateful towards them.

They seem like really mature people when they mock you for not having a cat. I often treated people badly myself in the past, but I had other motivations than a missing pet. That wouldn't have been a reason for me to look down on anyone and mock them. I really can't understand that. Must have really gone on your nerves.

        • My therapist told me that the reason why people had mocked me was that I was different and that they were jealous that I had a different pet but also them being extremely insecure about themselves.

So then after her telling me this, it got me to a conclusion the only reason why I was violent in the first place was because of that.

I used this as an initiative and move on from being violent from it.

I saved a kitten on a freezing night once she was caught in a fence its momma wouldnt return. I took it home fed it and it gave it terrible gas because it was use to mommas milk. So I name it bean. But this cat to this day hides under my couch and is scared of its own shadow. I chased it down one day drunk trying to pet it and it bit the fuck outta my finger. I tried to chase it around to kill it my wife stopped me. It got infected and had to go on antibiotics.

    This is the lil shit

Why a cat and not a human or a bedbug? I don't know you but I already don't like you in the slightest. Fuck you.
