Is it normal that my mother spat on me?

Our kitchen is completely recked so what I did was I threw a fork into the sink, so i didnt have to step on the mucky stuff on the floor, she got mad that it was "french" and "fancy" and stuff and it was the only good stuff in our really bad living space. also the sink is filled with muck apparently (something I didn't know of at the time) so basically she got really mad at me that i don't appreciates others money, and I jokingly said "so what if i don't" (i obviously do, money is a very valuable thing) and so she started swearing at me and stuff, i basically didn't reply, but i went to her room to get my pet and hug him before going back to my room. she pushed me away, so i just did the same, obviously not going overboard. she then elbowed me in which I respond with a push, stronger, but not too strong. I got in her face and said what the fuck is your problem before she spat in my face, so I spat back, then she spat back and shut the door on me. This is one of my negative qualities where I can't let that just happen, so I pushed the door open, spat on her again and quickly shut it (she tried to spit at me back) and pretty much I heard her say to my sister that I'm now dead to her, and that she's right when you get closer to me I'm just a really bad person. The thing is, I have many close friends, and it's only my mom who says this type of shit. Is this normal? or do I have an abusive mother. I am 18 years old and a male.

also, I am planning to move out as she has been really abusive when I was younger, but I thought she changed, thought I'd value your guys's opinion. Thanks.

Edit: I haven't spoken top my older brother yet but, when stuff like this has happened before, he told me there's a reason why he was much happier after moving out. She did the same type of shitty arguments to him as well.
