Is it normal that i want to cry when i look at my handwriting?

Whenever I used to take notes on school I would always stare at my handwriting and inmediatly began getting upset over how asymmetric my handwriting looked. I tried making every letter as symmetric as possible but if I messed up once I would get pissed off and almost wanted to cry.
Same applies with mind maps, in my school we used to do tons of these but I spent a lot of time trying to make all the shapes evenly distributed, to the point that most of my classmates would've already finnished the activity but I was still stuck on the distributing.
This was all a couple of years ago back when I went to high school, and I don't have to take as many notes or do as many mind maps anymore. But the question still remains and I'm unsure wether I'm just an avid perfectionist or there's something else going on

Is It Normal?

  • You are probably OCD my friend. I like symmetry as well, but you're taking it too far.
You're overthinking this, relax, don't worry about it.

I write like a doctor (AKA nobody understands what I wrote, not even me) and I'm okay with it.
Hell, back when I was in school, most of my notes were doodles, or sketches of cars and other vehicles.

Save the worrying for things that really matter.

    • I agree with this. I mean, we can't diagnose you here, but it's definitely not normal to be seriously distressed over stuff like this. If you can let it go, do so. If you can't, you may want to see someone.

Anxiety to the point of tears from every day stress is never normal.

    • I completely agree as well! My handwriting is ass too but I’ve kinda grown to accept it.

  • People with neat handwriting are fucking losers. Don't get upset, bad handwriting means you're a cool kid.

    What's a mind map?

    • It's weird how often that this is true. I'm trying to think of anyone I know who I actually like who has neat handwriting.
