I don't know if every one will understand this.
I've never been to Lithuania or read about it or anything. I just saw it on a world map and started obsessing over it, I don't know why.

i went through a similar thing for slovenia
i even wrote a song Slovenia On My Mind which i recorded on a cassette tape and sent to an unmarked address in the Soviet Union
I had an operation in Lithuania. Very green with lots of open space. Old post communist blocks of flats and bullet holes can still be seen in old buildings. Good shopping centre in capital and beautiful girls. They don't like foreigners and seem cold. I don't think you are abnormal. Maybe one day you could visit and get it out of your system.
It's probably not normal but it might be because you want to travel, I'm not sure, you might want to go talk to someone.
You'll truly obsess over it if you are fascinated by its culture and background. I have a fascination with Finland and the Finnish language.

You really need to wake up, the Soviet Union killed millions and is long gone. I recommend seeing a therapist
You could go to North Korea or Venezuela, two beautiful examples of communism FAILS. It never worked and never will.
