Is it normal that i haven't met my boyfriends family yet?

We've been dating 2 years, and they live in Colorado, where he grew up. But he and I both live in Washington. They typically visit him once or twice a year or vice versa. He has an aunt and uncle that live much closer(as in, a little over an hour away) and his sister surprised him with a visit a few months back, but I didnt get to meet her. she was staying with other friends , but still. I've told him on multiple occasions how important it is to me.

That sounds a bit strange. My parents met my sister's partner within about a month of them being together and they already knew my brother's wife because she was my sister's best friend.

However, I just realised my parents never met my most recent ex. Long story.

When I was a kid I brought my girlfriend home and left her alone for like 10 minutes, during which time my dad had kicked her out. Maybe he's trying to save you from shitty feedback. My advice is don't force anything.

update- I'm pretty sure he has adult ADHD. that could have something to do with it.

Two years is quite a long time. It sounds as if he isn't taking the relationship very seriously, most people only go through the awkwardness of family introductions once they are with somebody they plan on being with for quite some time. Even if it were vice versa and he was embarrassed of his family 2 years is still far too long to go without sucking it up and setting up a meeting.
