Is it normal that i had to change my name multiple times?

I've been on Is It Normal? for a while and while I've been on here, I had to change my name seven times to clear my name with the users I've come across so they'll no longer know me or be upset with me. I'm currently on my 8th name. I just don't want my username to be associated with any negativity with anyone on here. I feel as if everytime something's not going well I have to run and change my name so things will be alright. Is it normal that i do this?

    but I get what you mean though I used to sort of troll this site awhile back and these days I'm trying to be more sincere but I figure thats just who i am/was sometimes and i dont think people care that much anyway

      I try to be nice to people on here. I have my moments sure where I'm not so nice but that's because some people like giving me a hard time.

        That's fine, but you should be able to deal with people who disagree with you, and if they are giving you a hard time most likely they are trolling - just looking for a reaction =)

    Changing your name clearly isn't working, is it? It didn't seem to work the first 7 times, so why you're still doing it seems strange to me. Changing your name doesn't really make a difference to anything either.:S

    I can relate, when internet was getting massive during the dialup times, me and almost everyone i knew recycled screen names like credit cards (see where that got us, lol). I would feel too discouraged about your identity here though, most of us arent trying out to get others or bully each other. This community should be very useful to a lot of people who find themselves drawn to the internet and away from actual reality.

    Hell id live in reality only if i had the ability to phone call instructions to drive a helicopter. ; )

    Not normal. My name has been clean since I joined.

    I really don't understand how so many people here get into altercations. I have debated with people here and I'm pretty sure I've said a couple things which might have offended someone. The worst I've gotten were a thumbs down and a snide remark.

    Am I one of the people you argued with? I'm guessing not, you don't type like any of the people I had problems with. I've seen at least one person get bullied off this site. That wouldn't happen to be you would it? If so, sorry you had to deal with that.

      Don't worry. You're not a person who bothered me. I have been chased off this site a couple of times though but I came back. I don't know why though. You'd think that after all I've delt with on here, I would leave forever.
