Is it normal that i don't ever want to work?

Although I recently graduated university, I only did it because it's what you're supposed to do, I don't actually want to work in the field I studied in. My whole life I have planned to just marry rich and not work. Is this normal? Everyone is always talking about how hard work is, how little they get paid, how they don't have time for anything, that's why I don't ever want to work. Life is hard enough as it is without having to torture yourself for 8-12 hours a day just to have food or a place to live.

So you want to force a partner to do all the things you think suck. Do you need a lesson on what a partner is?

I think everyone has thoughts like that from time to time. Work can suck, even if it’s something you’re passionate about, and I’m sure most people wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to get a free pass in life if it presented itself to them. But marrying rich is a lot harder than it sounds, most rich people have high standards since they’re - you know - rich.

Sure work can feel like torture, especially if you're not earning from your hobby. But to say you're considering marrying rich as a solution is pretty lame. You sound like someone who would eventually start plotting for your partners death so you can rip them off of their wealth.

Welp a good portion of me never wants to work ever. That part of me is constantly restrained so it doesnt actively fuck up my life.

The other part of me NEEDS to work. It needs the satisfaction of doing something productive. That is why its allowed free Reign to do whatever needs to be done at any time if it feels like it. Also why I'm a night owl.

I think a lot of people feel this way, but I personally don't. I actually enjoy work. I am a person that likes to be busy and occupied with something, and cannot stand to just do nothing all day or have no responsibilities of any kind. Plus, it's rewarding to me. I like being productive.

Personally, I wouldn't feel good about myself at all if I lived off of someone else's money and didn't provide for myself, and I think marrying someone for their money is just using them, which is obviously a shitty thing to do. Not to mention that being dependent on another person to support you can be potentially dangerous, and is how a lot of women get trapped in abusive relationships they feel they can't leave.

Yes, but do you just want to bang on the drum all day?
