Is it normal that i am afraid to decompose when i die

death is something that i cannot avoid, it's inevitable. that's not what bothers me. What does bother me is IF i die suddenly and then decompose in my bedroom, or somewhere that others would be able to smell my rotting corpse. Also, it would take time to clean and i Do NOT want my bodily fluids to leak through anything.

this is why i think the best option is cremation although the thought of being burned (while dead of course) is terrifying. I've seen online what decomposing corpses look like and i do not want to be one of those people.

Why do you care? You won't be alive to see it. Nobody can judge you for dying and decomposing. It's a natural process that happens after death.

Enjoy life, forget about death. You are probably young and have many years to live before death starts to approach.

I use to worry about it when I was a kid. I remember watching the movie cast away as a kid and when he finds the pilot in the water and flips him over and hes been decomposing that hit hard as a kid.
