Is it normal that for no reason i get really angry or sad?

Sometimes when im just on my own i get really down/sad.The more i try and work out what it is that is making me like that, the worse i get. Once i just put a happy face on and try to forget about it i seem fine. But its always in the back of my mind.

Hey there, if you're sad for no reason at all then it isn't normal and could be the result of a chemical imbalance. You can talk to you family doctor about this and if s/he thinks you need to be referred to a specialist or if you think you need to see someone such as a therapist or psychiatrist then you should go.
If there is a reason for your sadness then try to come up with a plan for how to handle it and eventually change the things that make you sad/angry so you can become happy again.

I'm like that too sometimes, but most of the time I do know why I'm feeling the way I'm feeling. Today was pretty weird for me at work. I just did not feel like being there, and honestly, I felt really sad, but couldn't really put my finger on the problem. It kinda just came on. My boss even asked me if something was wrong because he said I looked sad, but I couldn't really say. I seemed ok driving there though.

Anyway, I don't really have an answer for you. But I know what you're talking about, and usually when I'm feeling that way I just think to myself, "I guess I'm just having one of those days". But if it really bothers you, maybe talking to someone will help.

I have bipolar depression, and what you described kind of sounds like you might be bipolar. Might not be, though.
