Is it normal i slept for 72 hours

I've always had really strange sleeping habits, sometimes I can't sleep for days, or I sleep all day, or I sleep in and out of a day, no pattern.

The other day I woke up from a 72 hour sleep, I just went to sleep at 11 at night, then didn't wake up once for 3 days. I'm already broke from college and paying off medical bills for broken ribs so I really dont want to go to the doctor if I don't have to. Should I just sort of shrug it off and carry on?

I'm 20 and a male

Your circadian rhythm might be wonked out, meaning you have non-24 hour sleep-wake disorder.
Check out the wikipedia entry for more info:

I feel like thats unhealthy. I read an article stating the minimum sleep should be 6 hours and the maximum of 18 hours.

I personally sleep around 9 hours, and it fuels me up enough for the day.

r u in depression or bipolar? one of my bi polar friend had sleeping habits like that. i would suggest u to do a mediation for sleepless for 5 minutes before sleep by closing your eyes just breath in and breathe out slowly.
