Is it normal for parents to be in denial of my health issues?

Ok for 3 years after constant visits to doctors saying i have reoccurong dislocating shoulders that they cannot fix, my parents still treat me like im capable of do normal things that i cannot do like sports or lift heavy things without making my problem worse. Why is it that my parents deny that things will never be the same for me?

parents think they know everything. sometimes they are just completely blind. or maybe they're trying to make you feel like you're still a normal person?

Maybe if you have your parents go with you to the visit with your doctor. You could talk to him/her beforehand to explain the problem that they don't believe you so that when they go with you, the doctor could please make it clear to them so they finally understand.

Did they not listen to the doctors at all? Are they dense?

Next time they give you shit about it, demand to see their medical degree and license to practice medicine. Tell them if you're going to be taking their medical advice, you need to know that they are legit.
