Is it normal for me to hurt

i have been feeling really low for some time at work . i am being bullied and imtadintated at work . i have reported them to their employer . but now it is still going on at my depo . I also get it when i do my street cleaning on the streets ocasinaly from shop owners and member of staff. I do contact my employer but there is no support or help. When i have finished my Shift i go home and settle in then have my dinner with my dad and brother . Both of them get drunk every day then i get insults from my brother everyday. he has a drinking problem But he keeps telling me i have a problem . But i don't drink because of my medication. Now i have to go in my bedroom to have dinner by myself for the past week. My brother has completely ignored me but keeps shutting doors really loudly to try and get back to me . I don't want him living here anymore as he is twisting things over making out i'm to blame .

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I grew up in an alcoholic household and unfortunately became one myself to deal with it. All I can say is good for you for not going down that path. I wouldn't recommend it.

It sucks but just keep your head down till you can move out. Don't hide. But don't get sucked in to drunken bullshit either.

Your brother most likely shuts doors loudly because he's drunk not because he is subtle enough to make a point.

As for work I don't have any answers other than to say look for something else. If you are a good worker opportunity is everywhere.

Chin up. I wish you the best.

I hear that. I've been in similar situations in my life, where you're getting it from both sides like that. When I was in school, I was bullied. A bunch of girls would gang up on me. I was fat when I was young, so I wasn't popular and school was awful. Then I would go to work and people were mean to be there too, when I was 16. Anyway, so I sort of can relate. Their drinking is going to catch up with them sooner or later, you can count on that, especially when it's every day. I'm sorry about that. I hope you can get through this.

No it's not normal. Life is supposed to be all sunshine, rainbows and all-you-can-eat buffets.

I was being sarcastic, if you don't want me to be, here you go :

Shit happens, a lot of shit that sucks really bad. I don't know enough about your situation to give good advice on how to fix them. But to answer the title, yes, it's super extremely normal and has happened to every single human to ever walk the earth.

yes i guess so, but maybe since I was bullied myself I am a bit more sensitive to people. My childhood was hard because of bullies.

Yeah shit like that happening in your youth could make you more emotionally sensitive and more vulnerable to depression.

yep, especially when you are getting it from not only work but home at the same time. I can see that. That was me. That experience has made me a nicer person and have a bigger heart for people i guess.
